In 2017, Moms Meet moms were able to try and review a variety of products and services in emerging trending categories. One thing is clear from this past year—their passion for better-for-you products remains as strong as ever. With a shift towards plant-based and meatless nutrition, that’s both better for people and the planet, our moms flocked to Sampling Programs featuring pea protein, like Ripple Kids, a dairy-free milk and New Barn Organic Unsweetened Almondmilk. They also loved Beyond Meat The Beyond Burger that captures the taste and texture of beef with the use of pea protein and other plant-based ingredients.
Furthering the wave of conscious consumerism were Sampling Programs that introduced moms to ethically-sourced products, like Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna, and environmentally-friendly alternatives, such as Hippo Sak Plant-Based Trash Bags.
Healthier alternatives for the whole family reigned supreme. They ranged from crowd-pleasing Arctic Zero Fit Frozen Desserts, to kid-centric drinks, like Orgain Kids Protein Organic Nutritional Shakes, and mom favorites, like Califia Farms XX Espresso Cold Brew Coffee.
One thing that persists from year to year is our moms’ appetite for great tasting, healthy food. According to our recent survey, almost 8 in 10 of our moms frequently limit their child’s sugar intake. That being the case, they loved being introduced to lower-sugar snacks for their families, like Stretch Island Organic Fruit Strips, Dry Sparkling Soda, and Veggie-Go Fruit and Veggie Snacks. They also appreciated delicious and convenient mealtime solutions, like table5 pizza and Good Food Made Simple. Moms Meet moms have proven to be heavy online grocery shoppers. In a recent survey to our community, the results showed that 66% of moms purchased groceries online in the past month. That’s why the Green Chef and Sun Basket Meal kit delivery services fit their needs superbly.
Wellness remained a priority with our moms. They loved sampling supplements tailored for different ages and stages of life, like LoveBug Probiotics Tiny Tummies, Flore Health Floradix Iron & Herb Supplement, and Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies. Their care for safe ingredients paired perfectly when sampling toxic-free personal care products like BRÖÖ Craft Beer Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner and Dr. Bronner’s Baby Unscented Pure-Castile Liquid Soap.
In 2017, our moms learned about ways to educate, entertain, and even clothe their families sustainably with National Geographic Kids books, The Little Gym, Blackboard by Boogie Board, and prAna.
We’re sure to see even more plant-based products, low-sugar alternatives, convenient solutions, and meat replacements in 2018. We also expect to see an increase in toxic-free personal care and household products and more attention paid to the carbon footprint of company operations. As we start 2018, our moms are eager to try the newest healthy and socially-conscious trends hitting the market and share their experiences through Product Reviews and social media.
Over the past year, we’ve introduced our moms to more products than we could list here and look forward to exposing them to even more in 2018. To see what our moms had to say about all the products and services they tried in 2017, visit the Moms Meet Product Reviews section on our website.
